BETTMERALP, Switzerland 2019
Finally got to see one of my sister’s favorite places on this planet. She and her family used to come up here to ski, and once the kids were grown, she and my brother-in-law come up to hike.

Bettmeralp is a charming mountain village in the Valais region of Switzerland, at an altitude of about 1,950 meters (6,404 feet). Part of the car-free Aletsch Arena, a UNESCO World Heritage site, it offers stunning views of the Aletsch Glacier. Visitors typically arrive via cable car from Brig or Betten, enhancing the village's serene atmosphere, characterized by traditional Swiss chalets and modern amenities.
Bettmeralp provides year-round outdoor activities. In winter, it is a popular spot for skiing and snowboarding, with over 100 kilometers (62 miles) of slopes. During summer, visitors can enjoy hiking and mountain biking with scenic trails.
