NEUCHATEL, SWITZERLAND
Out of my comfort zone in the french speaking part of Switzerland, Neuchatel sits along a hillside up from the lake of the same name. There were a few things I had researched, but for the most part I simply walked where my feet took me. I did find the Chateau de Neuchatel, a castle which begun in the 12th century. The adjacent gothic church, from the same period, is a sight to behold.
Quaint side streets with lots of cafes, restaurant and stores, litter this ancient city by the lake. Absolutely worth a visit, and I think I’ll go back next time I’m in Switzerland, to explore the other side of the city.
