Day trip with siblings and cousins, to take the Gelmerbahn up to the Gelmer lake.

The Gelmerbahn is a funicular railway in Switzerland's Bernese Oberland, connecting Handegg to Gelmer Lake at about 1,840 meters (6,040 feet). Opened in 1926 to transport materials for a hydroelectric plant, it’s now a popular tourist spot known for stunning views and a steep incline with a maximum gradient of 106%. The ride is about 1,450 meters (4,757 feet) long and takes around 10 minutes. At the top, visitors can hike and enjoy the beautiful alpine scenery. The Gelmerbahn operates seasonally from May to October, featuring unique architecture and significant historical value.
