LOGAN HEIGHTS with SD WALKABOUTS
We had another glorious day, this time walking all around Logan Heights. I love how that there are film shooters, digital as well, beginners and more advanced photographers. We’re all just chatting and having fun!
Logan Heights is a southeastern San Diego neighborhood known for its cultural heritage and strong community. Predominantly Latino, it has a working-class history since the early 20th century. The area features a mix of single-family homes, multi-family units, and commercial establishments. Despite urban challenges, community-driven revitalization has occurred. Notable parks, like Chicano Park, highlight Mexican-American culture through vibrant murals and host local events. Education is prioritized, with various schools and organizations enhancing resources for families. While facing socioeconomic issues, residents maintain a strong identity and pride, evolving the neighborhood while preserving its cultural roots.
