BALBOA PARK, SAN DIEGO

I’ve always loved visiting Balboa Park, there’s just so much to see!

Balboa Park, located in San Diego, California, spans 1,200 acres, making it the largest urban park in the U.S. Established in 1868, it features Spanish Colonial Revival architecture, with many structures built for the 1915 Panama-California Exposition. The park houses 17 museums, including the San Diego Museum of Art and the Natural History Museum, each offering diverse exhibitions and programs. Its gardens, like the Japanese Friendship Garden, provide peaceful spaces for relaxation. Balboa Park hosts performing arts venues, including the Old Globe Theatre, and various events throughout the year, enhancing its cultural vibrancy. Visitors can explore via walking paths, bike rentals, or guided tours. The park remains accessible year-round, appealing to families, art enthusiasts, and nature lovers alike. Balboa Park reflects San Diego's dedication to culture, nature, and community.
